Hello hello everyone!
I hope all of you had an amazing weekend and an awesome week so far. We spent Saturday mostly chilling at home and then grocery shopping. Saad and I really enjoy grocery shopping together, does that make us weird? No, duh! Because we strongly believe this:
I feel that the everyday, so to speak “mundane” things take up most space in our lives, so why not make the most of them, see them as a source of meditation and harness them to enrich our lives? Just a little food for thought. ^_^
My family is in Karachi for Eid these days which includes my two nieces and nephews. This is the first time they’ve visited since I got married in December and I’m not at my parents’ place so I sometimes have those post wedding blues (T_T). So in order to drive the blues away, Saad and I decided to take the family, especially the kids to Onederland on Sunday. Why is it called Onederland? Because it’s this play place for kids at Lucky One Mall. Mind blown:
Lawlz! Okay enough with the monkey business!
Being a graphic designer, I couldn’t help but check out their guide map. Here’s a snap of the guide:
So this is what Onderland looks like:
I couldn’t take a lot of photos while I was there because in all honesty, I wanted to spend more time with family and when you have 3 kids around, you feel like you’re on a perpetual roller coaster and barely get time to breathe, let alone take photos. I’m not counting the 4th kid because he’s just a baby, who stayed in his stroller throughout and he’s the most peaceful baby on the face of this earth, Masha’Allah! Awww! (Talk about Phuppo moment! Ahem…) I did manage to take this shot inside when the kids started their rides:
Basically you get a Onederland Recharge Card in which you can transfer money and then use it to play the rides. Although, there’s trained staff present at all areas, I still don’t like the idea of leaving the kids alone so someone or the other among us watched over them.
There are various levels for different age groups. My 9 year old niece spent an hour playing at a designated area for her age, whereas my twin nephew and niece aged 3.5 played at the Bounce Station and Play Arium which are appropriate for their age.
All in all it was a good experience and my nieces and nephews had a great time! It is a fun place for kids to hangout, there’s something for all age groups and it’s right where the food court is so you can eat out there as well like we did. So if you would like to spend a fun day out in Karachi with your nephew/niece or your own kid(s), I’d definitely recommend you to check out Onederland! Try going earlier though if you want to avoid traffic and rush, we went in the afternoon and it wasn’t as crowded as it usually is. ^_^
Lucky One Mall is at Rashid Minhas Road opposite UBL Sports Complex. The timings are Monday – Friday 11:00 am – 11:00 pm and Saturday – Sunday 11:00 am till midnight. For more information on rides and other details, please visit: www.onederland.com.pk or visit their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pg/onederlandpk.
We spent the rest of the weekend Netflixing Star Trek Into Darkness at home and gobbling on yummy food, mainly Haleem (which my mother in law made) and Lasagne made by yours truly! Yummm!
